What is the Kindness Project?
Following the success of the Red Box Project and the governments commitment to fund free period products in all schools and colleges from early 2020 Leigh and District Soroptimist Club has taken the decision to continue to support out of school provision for period products in our community.
This new project will also provide basic hygiene essentials for people in crisis and struggling, with the aim of improving their self-esteem and personal well-being.
What will be in the Basic Kindness Boxes?
Roll On Deodorant / Soap / Body Wash / Shampoo / Conditioner/ Toothpaste/ Tooth Brush / Cleansing Wipes.
St. George's will host one of a number of donation points where members of the community can donate products to help those in most need.
