Sunday Club 10th September 2017

This week we listened to the story of the lady with a sore back who was healed by Jesus on the Sabbath day. The scribes and pharisees thought this broke the rules of the Sabbath day but Jesus said that the law about the Sabbath was given to help people get to know God better and healing the lady would help her to know God's love for her.

Through role play the children experience some of the difficulties the lady might have experienced in her life and with help, they filled in a diary, which she might have written before and after the event. They also made a paper puppet which they took home to remind them of God's love for them and the importance of doing the right thing.
